Estonia claimed an excellent win 2-0 win over Uruguay at the A.Le Coq Arena in Tallinn tonight. Over 6000 saw Konstantin Vassiljev's shot evade Uruguayan goalkeeper Juan Castillo in the 61st minute following good work from Raio Piiroja. Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko made it 2-0 in the 65th minute when he got a near post touch on Vassiljev's corner.
Diego Forlan played the whole 90 minutes but made little impact as the Uruguayans struggled with the snowy pitch and -6 conditions. Estonia won't care though and the win is a massive boost ahead of Tuesday's Euro 2012 qualifier with Serbia.
This result may or may not mean Estonia are now third best team in the world. That's how it works, right?
